Place of Origin: France
Condition: New
Born in 1989 in Hauts-de-Seine, France, I've always lived in an urban environment. It's mainly city life that has led me to have this fascination for living things, especially trees.
The desire to work with wood came naturally, when I met a family friend who is now a woodturner. I trained as a cabinetmaker in 2013, and as an art woodturner in 2016, before opening my first workshop in Ivry sur Seine, France, where I have always created contemporary pieces while respecting the traditional values of the craft.
During my experience as a turner, I developed sculpting techniques for small pieces, which I then adapted to larger dimensions.
Today, I specialize in contemporary sculptures, statuary and murals.
Since 2022, I've been based at JAD, Jardins des métiers d'Art et du Design, in the Paris region, in the buildings of the former national ceramics school of Sèvres, where my workshop is dedicated to the contemporary creation of wood sculptures.
For several years no, I've been choosing to return to the hand tool, for the feeling of closeness to the wood it provides, but also for the precision, texture and physical and mental commitment it imposes.
The production ranges from personal creations of medium- and large-format sculptures, to decorative panels in carved wood, and custom commissions for interior design, for galleries, luxury brands and private clients.
